メディカルハーブの代表的な存在で、インドの伝統医学アーユルヴェーダでは「不老不死の霊薬」とされ、呼吸器系疾患、風邪、感染症や 身体の免疫機能を高めたり、デトックス作用、アンチエイジング等の効果があると言われるハーブです。アダプトゲン(高麗人参，甘草,霊芝、冬虫夏草等)に分類され、生理機能を正常化し、ストレス因子に対して抵抗力を高めること、つまりストレス軽減、リラックス効果もあると言われる正に「魔法」のハーブ。
ティーにするとその香り高さにビックリ。ハーブティー特有のクセがなく、甘く、クローブのような濃厚な深み、シソの芳醇な香りが特徴です。もちろんノンカフェインです。
